French Yellow Clay is made up of fine mineral particles and iron oxides which determine its color. It contains iron, but no aluminum. It is a very mild clay that can be used on dry or sensitive skin.
Using French Yellow Clay for skin applications is a tried and true remedy in particular for people with oily skin. Naturally absorbent, this desirable skin remedy cleans, tightens, and renews skin cells. With French Yellow Clay you can prepare masks and body applications, but there are a few precautions to keep in mind when mixing, using, and storing this natural substance.
A typical spa treatment, people use French Yellow Clay primarily as a facial or in bathwater. The mineral content of the clay--which can include magnesium, potassium and calcium, among other properties--is said to help draw toxins out of the body, remove dead skin cells and provide a deep cleansing for the pores to leave the skin smooth and refreshed.
