Himalayan Triphala Oil (HTO): Contains a superior quality food grade Sesame Oil (unrefined cold pressed from fresh, raw, sesame seed grown and processed without chemicals) specially treated and purified with Triphala Fruit Extract.

Sesame Oil is one of the premier health promoting oils used in classical Ayurveda and has been used for thousands of years internally as well as externally. Ayurvedic practitioners have traditionally used “medicated” or treated oils topically to assist with conditions such as, dry skin, eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis while also being treasured as a hair tonic. Sesame oil is rich in vitamins A, B and E as well as iron, calcium, magnesium, and copper (which is considered to be effective in treating the pain and swelling of rheumatoid arthritis). The oil contains linoleic acid, alpha linoleic acid as well as lecithin which is especially noted to benefit brain cells and the nerve tissue. Due to this lecithin content it is believed to nourish the mind and the nerves and regular use is believed help to alleviate and support the body in dealing with depression and fatigue, while giving a sense of feeling refreshed and revitalized.

Triphala is a three fruit combination revered in classical Ayurveda with an almost mystical intrigue because of the panacea-like qualities attributed to this blend comprised of Amalaki fruit (Emblica officinalis), Bibhitaki fruit (Terminalia belerica), Haritaki fruit (Terminalia chebula) in equal proportions. Each berry in Triphala has a specific affinity for balancing a different dosha giving the combination of all three a perfect synergy which makes the final three fruit blend balanced and tri-doshic. This gives triphala the unique ability to balance Vata, Pitta & Kapha while rejuvenating the skin and deeper tissues. This amazing herb combination assists in the cleansing of subtle channels while the body also recognizes and responds to Triphala as a tonic and rejuvenating agent that nourishes the body.

The physical production of HTO requires extracting the essence of the healing properties of Triphala prior to gentle blending & heating in order to eventually reach the highest quality possible. Instructions: As a natural moisturizing agent for the whole body, gently massage a small amount of HTO into the skin while still slightly damp after showering. Apply larger amounts topically to sore muscles, joints and problem areas that are due to stress, injury and chronic pain. HTO makes an outstanding massage oil treatment for personal or professional use. HTO may also be used as a mouthwash (called oil pulling) for problem gums and inflammation. For dry sinuses after using the Neti PotTM, apply 10 drops to a clean palm, dip the pinky fingertip in the oil and gently apply and rub well inside of each nostril.
