Product Description

Nettle, also known as stinging nettle, is a perennial herb native to Europe, Africa and North America. As the common name implies, the plant is armed with hair-like stingers that inject histamine and other inflammatory chemicals when brushed against.

Nettle leaf has a long history of use as a food crop (the stingers fall off in hot water) and today we know that the herb is highly nutritious. The dried leaf is commonly used in herbal tea blends, although it is also frequently encapsulated or tinctured.

Stinging nettle tea is a common natural allergy (hayfever) relief remedy. It's also proven to benefit skin, bone (osteoarthritis), pain relief, and urinary health as well.*

The diuretic nature of nettle tea improves kidney function, and as a result can improve the symptoms associated with BPH.*

Active compounds: Glucoquinone, Calcium, Silicic acid, Potassium, iron, Flavonoids, Amines, Phenols, Sterols

When you make nettle tea you can drink three to four cups per day, but you should always drink additional water along with the tea. Nettle dry leaf is usually taken as 2 to 4 grams, 3 times daily.
