Product Description

Sourced from a new Japanese-Chinese company cultivating Certified Organic Nori (Porphyra yezoensis) in the coastal waters off China to bring you better taste and higher quality at a lower cost with the guarantee of purity that only Organic Certification can bring. The Japanese partner is a long-established nori producer with more than 100 years experience growing and processing nori. Emerald Cove® Organic Toasted Sushi Nori is cultivated from certified organic nori spores gathered from the previous year's crop. The young plants are nurtured in protected aquatic beds free from pollutants until they are strong enough to be transferred to nets in shallow ocean waters. They never treat these nets with herbicides, pesticides, or fungicides, but instead remove invading pests by hand.

Instructions on how to roll and prepare sushi are on the package. Each sheet is about 8"x7.5".

Stuffed Nori Cones

Yields: 8 cones
  • 2 sheets - EMERALD COVE® Organic Kosher Silver Grade Pacific Toasted Sushi Nori
  • 1 cup - Cooked Brown Rice
  • ½ cup chopped - Watercress
  • ½ cup grated - Carrots
  • 4 Tbsp toasted - Sesame Seeds
  • 1 Tbsp - Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tbsp - Mustard
  • 1 Tbsp - Traditional Umeboshi Vinegar
Cut each nori sheet into four quarters and set aside. Place all remaining ingredients, except watercress, in a bowl and mix together well. Carefully fold one piece of nori at a time into a cone shape. A drop of water will stick overlapping sides together. Fill each cone with the mix, decorating the top with watercress, and serve.
