How it Works:
Joints are where two bones come together, and are what allow movement. The largest joint in the body is the knee. Like the joints in the fingers, wrists, elbows, and ankles, knee joints are surrounded by a network of ligaments and muscles which help keep them stable, and cartilage, which provides a cushioning effect. Research has found that intake of key nutrients, such as vitamin D, curcumin, boswellia, and fructoborate, help keep joints strong and moving freely.
Curcumin and Boswellia
These traditional ingredients from India are well known for their ability to promote joint health. In a clinical trial using the specific boswellia and curcumin extracts in Healthy Knees and Joints, participants experienced an increase in their ability to walk for a distance (over a half a mile), and improved range of motion in their knees.1
Although it is known for its ability to support bone and immune system health, vitamin D is also important for building the cartilage cushion which protects the ends of bones.2
A form of boron complexed with plant carbohydrates, fructoborate has been used in clinical trials where it was found to improve joint comfort and flexibility, as well as to increase serum levels of vitamin D by 24%.3,4
