Hearty Soup Starter Blend combines brown rice, barley and macaroni with the well rounded flavor of a number of healthy ingredients including lentils, green split peas and yellow split peas. Try adding ground beef, fresh celery, carrots, tomatoes and cabbage for a vegetable beef soup that can satisfy any appetite.

Ingredients: Green Split Peas, Split Peas, Pearled Barley, Lentils, Long Grain Brown Rice, Alphabet Shaped Pasta (semolina, niacin, ferrous sulfate (iron), thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid). Contains Wheat.

Beef Recipe (Makes 4-6 servings)

8 cups water or broth
1 ½ cups Hearty Soup Blend
1 ½ tsp. salt
2 carrots
2 celery stalks
2 cups shredded cabbage
1 quart tomatoes
1 lb ground beef

Simmer Hearty Soup Blend for 1 hour. Add 2 carrots, 2 celery stalks, 2 cups shredded cabbage, 1 quart tomatoes, 1 lb. cooked ground beef. Simmer for 20 additional minutes.
